Investigation the influence of knowledge Management, management innovation and dynamic capabilities on export firms' performance

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of knowledge management, management innovation and dynamic capabilities with sustainable competitive advantage mediating role, on export firms' performance. This study is applied research in objective and it is descriptive-survey in nature. The statistical population of it was Tehran Province export companies. The sample size was calculated using G-Power software version 3.1 244 people. The research measurement tool was a normalized questionnaire five-point Likert scale which included 25 items. 198 questionnaires were collected using simple random sampling method with online survey method (Response Rates 82%). Analyze date was carried out by utilizing SPSS 26 and Smart PLS 3 at descriptive and inferential statistics sections respectively. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires were confirmed. Also, all hypotheses were confirmed at 99% confidence interval except for the mediating role of sustainable competitive advantage in the relationship between management innovation and firm performance. This study investigated management innovation effect on creating sustainable competitive advantage for the first time. Therefore, the current study albeit as a small leap forward, helps to develop the management literature by bridging the research gap. Creating and applying knowledge management, management innovation and dynamic capabilities simultaneously, via creating sustainable competitive advantage, can provide the necessary ground for the significant improvement of export companies' performance and can help managers and policy makers to understand how to improve company performance in dynamic environments.
