Examining the staying experiences of foreign tourists from different sources at Abbasi Hotel in Isfahan with a sentiment analysis approach

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze the sentiments of tourists from different cultures regarding their stay experience at the international Abbasi Hotel in Isfahan.The research paradigm is interpretive, the research approach is inductive, and the research is exploratory. The statistical population of this research includes customers from various cultures who stayed at the Abbasi Hotel and reflected their travel experiences on the TripAdvisor website from 2005 to 2023, totaling 800 comments.The categorization of tourist comments was divided into seven categories: hotel facilities, hotel ambiance, overall experience evaluation, hotel food, hotel accessibility, service quality, and hotel costs.Countries were then categorized based on each tourist's country of origin, followed by regional categorization. The results showed that overall, the hotel was more attractive to European compared to other nationalities. Tourists were not very satisfied with the hotel food and costs, but found the hotel's ambiance attractive due to its architectural appeal.
