This applied-developmental research aimed to design a strategic export performance management model for Tamin Pharmaceutical Investment Company using meta-synthesis. An exploratory mixed-methods design was employed, with 12 pharmaceutical export experts selected through purposive sampling.
Qualitative data was gathered from research literature and related articles, while quantitative data utilized Shannon's entropy questionnaires and interpretive-structural modeling (ISM). Analysis involved qualitative meta-synthesis for textual data and Shannon's entropy with ISM for quantitative data.
Findings identified seven core pillars for strategic export performance management:
Strategic factors
Management factors
Organizational factors
Export market orientation
Product design management
National environmental factors
International environmental factors
An effective export strategy requires seven key elements: internationalization strategy, market information systems strategy, market orientation strategy, innovativeness strategy, competitiveness strategy, learning orientation strategy, and technology orientation strategy.
The finalized model structures these components hierarchically:
Level 1: Export market orientation (C07)

Level 3: Organizational factors (C01) & Management factors (C02)
Level 4: Strategic factors (C04)
Level 5: International environmental factors (C03) & National environmental factors (C06)
This framework provides Tamin Pharmaceutical with a comprehensive model to optimize strategic export management.
